I graduated from [[http://www.goshen.edu|Goshen College]] in 2002 with a double major in Physics and applied Mathematics, and a minor in Computer Science. I received my doctoral degree in [[http://astro.phys.utk.edu|Computational Astrophysics]] from the  [[http://www.utk.edu|University of Tennessee]]. I am currently working as as post-doc with the [[http://astro.phys.utk.edu|joint UT-ORNL astrophysics]] group. My thesis topic is the simulation of Neutron Star Merger using an Adaptive Mesh Refinement (AMR) Magneto-Hydrodynamics code to look for gravitational wave signature and possibility of generating Gamma-Ray Burst from the generation of ultra-strong magnetic field.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing music, singing, and reading books. Guitar and piano are my primary musical instruments, which I play regularly for accompanying singing during [[http://www.knoxvillemennonite.org|our church]] service. I'm also a computer hobbyist with a heavy inclination in linux and open source software.
